![]() Week 10 finds the Young Gunz still at the top of the standings with a one game lead and a decent point total. Perhaps this year is the year the youngsters do not fade. Congratulations to Danny on his new partnership. I hope she understands the whole fantasy football thing. Don't forget to keep an eye on the old web site (http://swffl.50megs.com). It has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive materials there, like the complete 2012 Draft analysis, as I develop them. Anybody with ideas, send them to me and I will see what I can do. Key Matchups to watch this Week The Good Fellas will try to complete the season sweep of the Bishops of Battle and maybe make up some ground on the Young Gunz. The Body Shop will try to sweep the Fightin' Irish and put some space between then and the Elite Line. The Roxborough Wranglers will try to sweep the Black & Blue Attack and maybe climb out of the basement. The Dream Team will try to avenge their early season loss to the M. Takers and maybe start eying up a Elite position. In the only battle of Elite teams, the high flying Young Gunz will try to sweep the Jelly Beans and climb one step to clinching that first SWFFL Championship. Spock was 2 of 5 last week making him 21/40 (53%) for the year. His lock's appear above. Norm was 1 of 5 making him 16/40 (40%) on the year. Norm's Lines (actually my estimates) appear below: BI -1 GF (255) DT -9 MT (265)FI -1 BS (248) JB -1 YG (259) RW -3 BB (247) Three games were over on Sunday. One was more or less over. The other had some Monday night Madness. The Body Shop completed the season sweep of the Bishops of Battle. The Shop even came close to notching their first helmet but lost it in the last minute of the 4th quarter of Monday night. The Shop was led by Foster, Shorts and the Broncos. The Bishops had nice performances by Thomas and the BENGAL double bubble. They actually put up a nice score that would have garnered a "W" in other weeks or against all but the Shop or the Gunz this week. The Dream Team completed the season sweep of the Black & Blue Attack due in large part to performances by Stafford, CJ2K and Lynch. The Dream Team has won 3 of 4 and perhaps is on a bit of a roll. The Attack has lost 5 of the last 6 and only Matty Ice was able to clear the 20 point barrier. |
The Jelly Beans completed the season sweep of the Roxborough Wranglers. The Beans were led by Rivers and Gore as they kept pace with the young guys up at the top. The Beans have now won 7 of the last 8. The Wranglers only managed to get 20 out of Sidney Rice as they have now lost 6 in a row. The Young Gunz, Bowe and a 55.2 point lead proved to be too much for the M. Takers, Charles and Suisham. The Gunz were led by Brees, Graham and Gonzo (two TEs) as they notched their second helmet in a row and their 4th "W" in a row as well as completing the season sweep of the Takers. The Takers were led by Newton and Maclan as they have lost 4 in a row and are fading quickly. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Good Fellas and the Fightin' Irish. The Fellas, Miller and a 7.5 point lead were enough to hold off the Irish and Wallace. The Fellas were led by AP and Torrey Smith as they notched their 4th win in a row, kept pace with the Young Gunz and completed the sweep against the Irish. The Iris were led by Megatron in the loss. A Felix Jones or Andre Brown start would have left both teams at 6-4. The Irish lost each game to the Fellas by less then 10 points. You now a 10 point swing in both of these games could have had a huge affect on the current positions of each of these teams. CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
