![]() Week 4 finds only 1 undefeated team. Every team is within a game of a Money spot. Teams are settling in as the waiver wire has cooled a bit. And just when things are getting settled, the NFL throws the BYE weeks at us. So that waiver wire will pick up as people take some chances on a BYE week plug-in. As always check those lineups to make sure you don't have an automatic zero in there. On the brighter side the Dream Team nabbed a helmet!! Don't forget to keep an eye on the old web site (http://swffl.50megs.com). It has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive materials there, like the complete 2010 Draft analysis, as I develop them. Anybody with ideas, send them to me and I will see what I can do. Key Matchups to watch this Week In yet another family affair, the Dream Team will try to put the first blemish on Jelly Beans 2011 season. The Black Revenge will try to climb above the .500 mark against the Roxborough Wranglers who are trying to get to the .500 mark. The Fightin' Irish will try to keep their winning record against the Black & Blue Attack who are trying to reverse their losing record. The Money Takers will try and keep pace with the other .500 teams against the defending Champion Body Shop who seems to be suffering from a parade hangover. In a battle of youngsters, the Youn Gunz want to keep their normal fast start going this year against the Good Fellas who are spinning their wheels a bit. Norm was 4-5 making him 8-10 (80%) on the year and he retains top billing, his locks (actually my estimates) appear above. Spock was 1-5 making him 2-10 (20%) on the year. His lines appear below: JB -21 DT (293) MT -18 BS (264)BR -2 RW (258) YG -24 GF (280) FI -13 BB (273) All the games were over on Sunday, as the only the winning teams had any Monday night action. The Dream Team notched their first helmet against the Good Fellas. The Dream Team was led by the PACKER double bubble and Blount. The Good Fellas on the other hand had the 2nd best score of the week. I really hate when you outscore every team in the league but the one you are playing, however I have to admit it feels much better being on the top end of the "Helmet" end of that scenario. The Fellas were led by Turner and Nicks I the losing effort. A Garcon and Jones start over Bradshaw and Peterson would have given the Fellas the "W" and the Helmet. I would have demanded the keys to their time machine if they benched Peterson for either of those WRs. |
The Black Revenge had already defeated the defending champion Body Shop on Sunday and still had their QB, TE and a WR going on Monday night. The Revenge were led by Freeman, Foster, Decker, Lloyd and the JETS. The Shop (scoring only 78.5 points) had no starters over 20 points and their best lineup would have still fallen woefully short of the mark. In a brotherly battle, the Fightin' Irish nipped the Roxborough Wranglers by 6.3 pts. The Irish were led by Witten, the RAVENS and the CHARGER double-bubble. The Wranglers were led by Manning, Smith, Welker and the LIONS. This game went into Sunday Night with the Irish down by 24.7 and only the RAVENS left. If the Coyle boys missed the Sunday night game (perhaps because they were watching the Phils), I am sure they were both shocked by the results on Monday morning. A Clark start would have turned the tide for the Wranglers. The In a battle of ex-partners, the Money Takers edged the Black & Blue Attack. The Takers were led by Bowe and the EAGLE double-bubble. Newton and Megatron led the Attack in the losing effort. Cam seems to be filling in well for Peyton. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Jelly Beans and the Young Gunz. I know it is early for standings to make this decision, but the lack of Monday Night Madness and a meeting of the only undefeated teams, made this game the GOW. The Beans remained undefeated and handed the Gunz their first "L" of the season due to the efforts of Forte and Graham and balanced scoring elsewhere. The Gunz were led by Stafford, Gore and Nelson in the loss, but are still very much in the thick of things. CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
