![]() Week 13 finds the first Money Spot clinched. The Beans will finish in the Money, and to be honest a 2 game lead with 5 games left is looking pretty good as well. The bottom 3 or 4 teams may be mathematically alive, but hey technically the EAGLES are still alive as well (and truth be told, they probably have a better chance at making the playoffs as any of the bottom 3 or 4 teams have of making a Money Spot). Since my team is one of those bottom 4 teams look for the Notes to take on a depressing feel. I can't help it, but I will try to maintain some objectivity. Don't forget to keep an eye on the old web site (http://swffl.50megs.com). It has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive materials there, like the complete 2010 Draft analysis, as I develop them. Anybody with ideas, send them to me and I will see what I can do. Key Matchups to watch this Week In a family squabble, the Jelly Beans will try to complete the season sweep against the Dream Team and take one more step to locking up that title. The Roxborough Wranglers will try to complete the season sweep of the Black Revenge and keep their slimming Money Hopes alive. The Figtin' Irish will try to avenge their week 5 loss to the Black & Blue Attack and sure up their current Money Spot. The Money Takers will try to complete the season sweep of the Body Shop and keep their Championship hopes alive. In a generation X game, The Young Gunz will try to avenge their early season loss to the Good Fellas and keep their hold on their Money Spot. Spock was 3 of 5 making him 29 of 55 (53%) on the year and he retains top billing, his locks appear above. Norm was 2 of 5 making him 30 of 55 (55%) on the year. His lines (actually my estimates) appear below: DT -8 JB (266) BS -4 MT (258)BR -3 RW (251) GF -1 YG (249) BB -2 FI (254) Three games were over on Sunday. The other 2 games had some Monday Nigh Madness (some a lot more than others). The Good Fellas avenged their early season loss to the Dream Team keeping their Money hope alive and pretty much ending the Dream Team's hopes. The Fellas were led to victory by Brady, Bryant, Garcon and Nicks. The Dream team was led by Lynch and the PACKER double bubble. A Crabtree start over Blount would have the flipped the script for the Dream Team. You know what I can't figure out, I am 5-8 in 3 different leagues and I actually have Aaron Rodgers in 2 of them. Oh yeah, I got booted from Survivor this week as well. It was not a fun week for the Commissioner. |
The Money Takers completed the season sweep of an ex-partner in the Black & Blue Attack. With the points in their record, the Takers may be the only team that can stop the Bean express. The Takers were led by MJD, Harvin, AJ Green and Super TE Gronko. The Attack was led by Newton in the loss. They seem to be a nice little battle to see who stays out of the basement. The Body Shop avenged their early season loss to the Black Revenge and don't look now but the defending Champs are on a roll with a 2 game winning streak. The Shop was led by Tebow, Matthews and Finley. Only Foster cleared the 20 point barrier for the Revenge. Meachem & McCluster over Decker & Lloyd would have probably would have cemented the Shop in the basement instead of having a sort of race to stay out of the basement. The first place Jelly Beans completed the season sweep of the Young Gunz as Gates could not overcome a 26 point lead on Monday night. The Beans were lead by Brees and McCoy (the only EAGLE doing well). The Gunz failed to field a 20 point starter. A Helu or Thomas start may have upped everybody's Championship odds. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Fightin' Irish and the Roxborough Wranglers. The Irish swept this brotherly battle and pushed their lead over non-Money teams to 2 games as the CHARGER double-bubble easily overcame a 20.4 point lead on Monday night. The Irish were led by Rice and the aforementioned CHARGER double-bubble. The wranglers were led by a revived CJ2K and Mr. PPR Welker. The Wranglers still have some shot at a Money Spot, but the loss surely put a dent in those hopes. CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
