![]() Week 11 finds those teams above the Money line separating themselves from the rest of us, and there is little time left to close that gap. At 4 games back, most of us that are out of the Money now are probably out of the Championship race. Well the dreaded BYE weeks are over and now we get all these dreaded Thursday games. Don't forget to keep an eye on the old web site (http://swffl.50megs.com). It has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive materials there, like the complete 2010 Draft analysis, as I develop them. Anybody with ideas, send them to me and I will see what I can do. Key Matchups to watch this Week The Dream Takers will try to sweep the Money Takers and try and get back in the battle for a Money spot. The Good Fellas will try to complete the sweep of the Roxborough Wranglers in a battle of teams trying to keep within view of the Money teams. In a battle of Money teams, the Jelly Beans will try to sweep the Fightin' Irish and maybe move up the date of that clinching party. The defending Champion Body Shop will try tom complete the season sweep of the Black & Blue Attack. The Young Gunz will try to complete the season sweep of the Black Revenge and keep their Championship hopes alive. Spock was 4 of 5 making him 22 of 45 (49%) on the year and he regains top billing, his locks appear above. Norm was 1 of 5 making him 25 of 40 (56%) on the year. His lines (actually my estimates) appear below: DT -9 MT (263) BS -2 BB (254)RW -1 GF (257) BR -4 YG (248) JB -3 FI (251) All of the games had some Monday Nigh Madness (some a lot more than others). The Fightin' Irish completed the season sweep of the Dream Team as the PATRIOTS could not overcome a 57.1 point lead on Monday night. The Irish kept pace with the Beans and nabbed their second helmet of the year mainly due to the efforts of Rivers, Rice, Cruz, Jackson and Witten. Rodgers was the only Dream Team starter to clear the 20 point level. There were some extra points on the bench, but thankfully only enough to make them lose by les than a point. I hate it when we loose due to a coaching mistake. |
The Young Gunz completed the season sweep of the Black Revenge as Branch did little to close an 83.9 point gap on Monday night. The Gunz got the "W" and kept the title hopes alive in large part due to the efforts of Stafford, Nelson and White. The Attack was led by Newton in the loosing effort. Both QBs cleared 40 points in this game, but one had a better supporting cast (including a Defense not on the BYE). In the old days taking the zero at that position was OK, with the new scoring system - not so much. The Money Takers, Bowe, Gronkowski and a 29.6 point lead proved too much for the Roxborough Wranglers, Woodhead, Welker and Gostowksi. The Takers were led by MJD and Gronowski as they swept the Wranglers and also kept pace with the Beans. The Wranglers failed to have a 20 point scorer and really did not have much help on the bench either. The Takers find themselves in a tie for second 2 games from first place. The Wrangelers find themselves tied for 5th and 2 games out of the Money. The first place Jelly Beans completed the season sweep of the Body Shop as Breaston could not overcome a 19.7 point lead on Monday night. In a battle of the top and bottom teams, you would expect a blowout, but that is not what happened here. The Beans only 20 point starter was the bye week plug-in Cutler at QB. The Shop failed to have a 20 point starter, however a Startks start over Mannigham would have given the Shop their 3rd win and the Beans their 3rd loss. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Good Fellas and the Black Revenge. The Fellas split the season sweep with Revenge as Brady barely overcame a 22.8 point lead on Monday night. This game was decided by one point, but the week 2 contest between these teams was decided by on four tenths of a point. The Fellas were led by Brady as they joined the rest of the wannabe teams at 5-6. The Revenge was led by Romo, Winslow and Williams. A McCluster or GIANTS start would have had the teams swapping positions in the standings. CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
