![]() Week 10 finds the standings getting a little bit more tight, as every team but the Body Shop is within 2 games of 2nd place. The Beans still maintain a 2 game lead but lately we have been seeing some chinks in that Beans armor. It will be interesting to watch this all play out. Don't forget to keep an eye on the old web site (http://swffl.50megs.com). It has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive materials there, like the complete 2010 Draft analysis, as I develop them. Anybody with ideas, send them to me and I will see what I can do. Key Matchups to watch this Week The Fightin' Irish will try to complete the season sweep of the Dream Team and hope for the Beans to falter a bit more. The M. Takers will try to complete the season sweep of the Roxborough Wranglers and keep at least second place. The Black Revenge will try to complete the season sweep of the Good Fellas and climb back into a fight for a Elite Spot. In a battle of the extremes, the first place Jelly Beans will try to sweep the last place defending champion Body Shop. The Young Gunz will try to complete the season sweep of the Black & Blue Attack and keep themselves in the battle for second place and possibly a title. Norm was 4 of 5 making him 24 of 40 (60%) on the year and he regains top billing, his lines (actually my estimates) appear above. Spock was 2 of 5 making him 18 of 40 (45%) on the year. His locks appear below: DT -3 FI (269) JB -26 BS (252)MT -3 RW (255) YG -8 BB (256) GF -2 BR (254) Only two games were over on Sunday. The other three games had some Monday Nigh Madness (some more than others). The M. Takers avenged their week 1 loss to the Fightin' Irish. The win moved the Takers back into a tie for second place (with a total points advantage). The Takers were led by MJD and Gronko (not a bad year for a blocking TE). Only Rivers managed 20 points for the Irish, who have dropped from sole possessor of second place to a 3-way tie for second place (with the Irish on the short end of the total-points tie-breaker). |
The Black Revenge avenged their early season loss to the Black & Blue Attack and earned a season split of the "Black Bowls". The Revenge was led by Romo and Foster. The Attack failed to 20 point scorer on the whole roster. So is the off week by Newton an aberration or has the NFL finally figured out how to contain the probable Rookie of the Year. The Dream Team avenged their early season loss to the Roxborough Wranglers as the PACKER double-bubble easily overcame a 8.1 point lead on Monday night. The Dream Team was led by Rodgers (a lock for NFL and SWFFL MVP) and Fitzgerald who seemed t have an easy time of scoring points against the multi-million dollar defensive backfield. Well unlike that other Dream Team, we are back to .500. The Wranglers were led by CJ (wow he is still alive). The Good Fellas avenged their early season loss to the Jelly Bans as AP and a 20.8 point lead proved to be too much for the Beans, Crosby and the PACKERS. The Fellas were led by "B"erry-"B"erry good performances by Brady, Bryant and the BEARS. The Beans were led by Brees and Graham (a double-bubble of sorts) in the loss which is their second in three weeks (after going undefeated earlier). The Beans still maintain a strong hold on first place. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Young Gunz and the Body Shop. The Young Gunz completed the sweep of the defending champs as Nelson and a 3 point lead were too much for the Shop and Finley on Monday night. The Gunz were led by Bush and Nelson as they pulled into a 2 way tie for second and climbed within two games of first. The Shop was led by Tebow, Murray and Robinson. The consensus is that Tebow would be a good Fantasy QB but not a good NFL QB. Well, I suppose the Shop has been scoring more points since Tebow was acquired, but the jury is still out. Manningham over McGahee would have given the Shop a 2 game winning streak. It is probably too late for the Shop, but I believe the Shop will certainly be showing up every week.
