![]() Week 3 finds only 2 undefeated teams remaining and only 1 team still searching for that first 2010 win. The rest of us are in the middle. The waiver wire was on fire once again and with the upcoming BYE weeks it is likely to stay that way. We eve had a trade this week (well I guess that's our one trade for the year). Don't forget to keep an eye on the old web site (http://swffl.50megs.com). It has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive materials there, like the complete 2010 Draft analysis, as I develop them. Anybody with ideas, send them to me and I will see what I can do. Key Matchups to watch this Week In our first of 2 Black Bowls, the 1-2 Black Revenge take on the 0-3 Black & Blue Attack, only 1 win in 3 weeks for the "Black" teams, this is shocking, In a match between brothers and recent partners, the Fightin' Irish take on the Roxborough Wranglers, so far this season the younger brother at 3-0 is having better luck. In a battle of 2-1 teams the Body Shop take on the Jelly Beans. In another family affair the undefeated defending Champion Good Fellas take on their father and the Dream Team who find themselves at 1-2 despite leading the league in scoring. In the final contest, the 1-2 Young Gunz take on the 1-2 M. Takers, who look dramatically different since their blockbuster trade with the Good Fellas. Spock was 1-5 (20%) last week. His locks appear above. Norm was 1-5 (20%) last week. His lines (actually my estimates) appear below: BB -3 BR (243) DT -8 GF (252)RW -2 FI (238) MT -1 YG (237) JB -4 BS (242) Two of the games were over on Sunday; one was were more or less over and two had some real Monday Night Madness. The Defending Champion Good Fellas defeated the Jelly Beans and the Fellas still had Finley in their back pocket on Monday night. The Fellas were led by Manning, Collie, Marshall and Finley as they put together a very nice 150+ point game to remain undefeated. The Beans were led by Flacco and Jackson in the losing effort. The Roxborough Wranglers, Aromashodu and a 64.9 point lead were too much for the Black & Blue Attack and the PACKERS. The Wranglers were led by Romo, Peterson and Jackson as they notched their first "W" of the year. The Attack did not have any 20 point starters. They did have a couple on the bench but even their best lineup would have kept them winless. What is going on in the Black & Blue Attack Front Office? |
The Fightin Irish and a 22.9 point lead were too much for the M. Takers, Forte and Crosby on Monday Night. The Irish were led by Brady as they remained undefeated. The Takers were led by Rivers in the loss. A Shockey start would have put the Irish and the Takers at 2-1. Shockey over Celek, I can see that. The Body Shop, Rodgers, Jennings, Driver and Hester were able to squeak by the Black Revenge and a 44.9 point lead. The Shop climbed to 2-1 and above the Elite Line. The Revenge was led by Orton and CJ. There were several players on the Revenge bench that would have made for a different 2-1 team, but that is very common when the difference in the game is 5.1 points. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Dream Team and the Young Gunz. Sorry Casey and Toast, but if I score 159 points and lose to the helmet team by less than 3 points, I am taking GOW honors. Call it Commissioner's License or whatever you want to call it. The Young Gunz edged the Dream Team by 2.5 points. The Gunz were led by an MVP performance by Vick, a great performance by Bodlin and a good performance by Moss as they notched their first "W" of the year and landed the helmet in the process. The Dream Team had several players break the 20 point barrier as they climbed to the top of the points rankings. Unfortunately our standings are based on wins and losses and the Dream Team is looking at a 1-2 record. A Harvin or Williams start by the Dream Team would have left the Young Gunz winless and changed the name in the helmet in the middle of this page. Oh well, would have, could have, should have and $1.50 will get you a cup of coffee at most places. This high scoring but losing team is reminding me a lot of the 09 Dream Team. I am hoping for a better result for this team this year. CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
