SPOCK'S LOCKS - Favorite w/Spread on top - Underdog w/Under-Over in parenthesis

Week 2 finds the standings in a familiar position. There are 3 undefeated teams, 3 winless teams and 4 teams that have the picket fence thing going on. The waiver wire seems to have cooled down a bit, but 15 pickups in 2 weeks is a fairly good pace.

Don't forget to keep an eye on the old web site (http://swffl.50megs.com). It has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive materials there, like the complete 2010 Draft analysis, as I develop them. Anybody with ideas, send them to me and I will see what I can do.

Key Matchups to watch this Week

In a match-up of 1-1 teams, the Black Revenge will take on the Body Shop. The Black & Blue Attack will meet the Roxborough Wranglers in a contest between teams searching for the first victory (they also have the longest team names). In our 3rd contest the Money Takers will try to hand the Fightin' Irish their first loss. In a family affair featuring 2 undefeated teams, the defending Champion Good Fellas will take on the Jelly Beans. The Young Gunz will try to score their first "W" of the year against the Dream Team.

Spock's Locks appear above. Norm's lines (actually my estimates) appear below:

BR -2 BS (240)     GF -4 JB (248)
BB -3 RW (245)     DT -9 YG (261)
MT -1 FI (237)

Two of the games were over on Sunday; 2 others were more or less over and one had some real Monday Night Madness.

The Body Shop bounced back form a week 1 loss and defeated the Roxborough Wranglers. The Shop was led by Rodgers and Floyd in the victory. The Wranglers were led by Peterson and Jackson. Ryan over Romo, Mason over Aromashodu, Winslow over Gonzales - any 2 of these changes would have netted the Wranglers their first victory of the season.

The Jelly Beans had already wrapped up their second win against the Young Gunz, but still had Gore, Colston and nedney. The Monday Night players did help the Beans rip the helmet out of the Dream Team hands. The Beans were led by Gore, McCoy and Clark as they remain undefeated. The Gunz only 20 point starter was Vick, however a Cutler and Best (57.4 points) start would have given them the helmet and their first win. Benched a 57.4 point performance, that has just got to hurt.

The Dream Team, Brees and an 8.3 point lead proved too much for the Black & Blue Attack and Davis on Monday Night. The Dream Team was led by Brees, Austin, Gates and the STEELERS as they evened up their record. The Attack was led by Schuab, Andre Johnson and Wayne in their second loss. A Bush and LT start over Garcon and Gafney would have given the Attack their first "W".

The Good Fellas, 49ERS and a 19.6 point lead were too much for the Money Takers and Crabtree. The Fellas were led by Manning as they are well on their way to defending that Championship. The Takers were led by Rivers in the losing effort. An Eddie Royal over Lee Evans start would have kept the Takers undefeated instead of the Good Fellas.

The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Figtin' Irish. The Irish, Thomas, Meachem and the SAINTS overcame a 4.9 point lead by the Revenge and Hartley. The Irish were led by Brady and White as they climbed to 2-0. The Revenge was led by Manning in the loss. A Hightower start would have changed the outcome of he game and the fortunes of both teams. I know it is very early and all that but 2-0 just seems a whole lot better than 1-1. The Hightowere start would have had to been for Chris Johnson (yeah he's going to get benched) or Bransdon Jackson (probably the hottest free agent in every fantasy league out their).so a lot of times when I throw in those if you had only started "so and so", they may make a lot of sense at that point, but they would have looked nuts before the games were actually played. So don't get too annoyed by those "should have started" comments as they are just usually a product of hind-sight. Except for benching Best this week - that was just plain idiocy!!!
