![]() Week 11 is in the books and despite a little midseason run from the Shop putting some distance between themselves and the rest of the pack, the truth is that all but 1 team is still within 2 games of the Elite. In even better news the GoodFellas had a new coach, a young Danny Staley joined the locker room over the weekend. The Fellas are hoping a fresh (a few days old) approach will help them defend their Championship. Congrats on the blessed event Danny & Shannon!! Don't forget to keep an eye on the old web site (http://swffl.50megs.com). It has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive materials there, like the complete 2010 Draft analysis, as I develop them. Anybody with ideas, send them to me and I will see what I can do. Key Matchups to watch this Week The Body Shop will try to repeat their early season loss of the Black Revenge and put a stranglehold on first place. The Roxborough Wranglers will try to complete the season sweep of the Black & Blue Attack and try to climb over that elusive Elite Line. The Fightin' Irish will try to keep pace with the Shop by sweeping the M. Takers. In a family affair, the Good Fellas will try to complete the season sweep of the Jelly Beans. The Young Gunz will try to hang on the last Elite spot sweeping the Dream Team. Norm was 2/5 last week making him 23/45 (51%) on the year. His lines (actually my estimates) appear above. Spock was 1/5 last week making him 18/45 (40%) on the year. His locks appear below: BS -10 BR (254) GF -1 JB (243)BB -2 RW (248) YG -7 DT (253) FI -11 MT (251) One game was over on Sunday, the other four had some definite Monday Night Madness. The Jelly Beans completed the season sweep of the Young Gunz. The Beans were led by McCoy and Colston as they won their 4th of the last 5. The Young Gunz were led by Turner and Wallace. A Palmer or Forte start would have kept the Gunz winning streak going. As it is Gunz winning streak was snapped at 4 wins. The Body Shop completed the season sweep of the Roxborough Wranglers, scored their 4th helmet of the year, and took sole possession of first place with this week's victory as Crayton cold not overcome s 63.6 point lead on Monday night. The Shop was led by Rodgers, Foster, Hillis and an MVP performance by Jennings. The Wranglers wasted a nice performance and a very good performance by Kitna. I thought I would never be mentioning a good performance and Kitna in the same sentence again. |
The Black & Blue Attack avenged their early season loss to the Dream Team as Prater could not overcome a 17.3 point lead on Monday night. The Attack was led by Garrard, Jackson and Wayne. Brees and Benson led the Dream Team. A Moreno start over Bradshaw would have had the Dream Team convinced their bad luck on Monday nights was truly over, but alas it was not to be. Well at least we aren't leading the league in scoring and losing nor are we losing by less than 5 points. It is not better but some how it feels better. By the way Congratulations to my partner Grandpa Norm who seems to be racking up the grandchild count a lot faster than our team is putting Ws on the standings table. The M. Takers avenged their early season loss to the Good Fellas as Rivers easily overcame a 6.1 point lead on Monday night. The Takers were led by Rivers, Drew and Maclan. It is safe to say that the Good Fellas were slightly distracted by outside events this weekend and they have a good excuse for dropping out of the tie for first (Congratulations again to Daddy and Uncle). Manning led the Fellas in the loss. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Fightin' Irish and the Black Revenge. The Irish completed the season sweep of the Revenge as Lloyd overcame a 2.5 point lead on Monday night. The Irish were led by Rice and Holmes as they won their second straight after a bit of a bad stretch. The Revenge was led by Bowe and Fitzgerald as they continued a pattern of win one lose one. Maybe it is time Coach Eddie to give another locker room speech. CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
