![]() Week 10 is in the books and thankfully the dreaded BYE weeks are over. The Shop and the Fellas are trying to take control of the top of the standings. It is still far from over all but 1 team is within a couple games of the Elite. Don't forget to keep an eye on the old web site (http://swffl.50megs.com). It has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive materials there, like the complete 2010 Draft analysis, as I develop them. Anybody with ideas, send them to me and I will see what I can do. Key Matchups to watch this Week The Black Revenge will try to avenge their early season loss to the Fightin' Irish and maybe take their Elite Spot as well. The Body Shop will try to complete the season sweep of the Roxborough Wranglers and keep up with the Staleys. The Dream will try to complete the season sweep of the Black & Blue Attack in a battle of 4-6 teams. In a battle of opposite ends of the standings, the Good Fellas will try to sweep the M. Takers. The Jelly Beans will try to complete he season sweep of the Young Gunz and pull a bit closer to that elusive Elite Line. Norm was 2/5 last week making him 21/40 (53%) on the year. His lines (actually my estimates) appear above. Spock was 2/5 last week making him 17/40 (43%) on the year. His locks appear below: BR -3 FI (243) GF -9 MT (229)BS -17 RW (249) YG -10 JB (2250) DT -4 BB (252) Two games were over on Sunday, one was more or less over and the other two had some definite Monday Night Madness. The Jelly Beans completed the season sweep of he Dream Team, by beating them by a but larger margin than they did in Week 1. The Beans still had McCoy on Monday night, but much like the EAGLES, there wasn't much reason for him to play for long. The Beans were led by Flacco, Gore and Jackson. The Dream Team failed to field a 20 point player and the one they had n the bench would not have made a difference. The Young Gunz had already ensured themselves of a split with the Good Fellas, but they had the EAGLES had some guy named Vick on Monday night. Vick (and the EAGLES) turned a comfortable win into a blow-out. If Vick's 72.1 points isn't a record - it has got to be in the top 2 or 3. It is not often that a single player outscores the opponent's entire starting line-up, in fact I am no Sure if it ever happened before. Wallace helped the Gunz as well. Ochocinco led the Fellas in the losing effort. I remember when 66 was a good score. It is far from one now. |
The Black Revenge completed the season sweep of the Roxborough Wranglers as DeSean could not overcome a 62.8 pint lead on Monday night, he Revenge was led by Eli, Charles and Bowe. Jackson and Ryan led the Wranglers. Strangely the Wranglers best lineup would have tied the Revenge. The Fightin' Irish completed the season sweep of the Body Shop as Akers easily overcame a 0.7 point lead on Monday night. In this battle of Elite teams, the Irish were led by White and Lloyd as they gained some ground on the Shop and the Fellas. The Shop was led by Sanchez and Manningham. A Felix Jones start would have given the Shop sole possession of first place. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Good Fellas and Black & Blue Attack. The defending Champion Fellas, Mendenhall and Ochocinco overcame the Attack and 15.3 point lead. Mendenhall came through and kept the Fellas in a tie with Shop for the top spot. The Fellas were led by Nicks and Hernandez. Only the PACKERS cleared 20 points for the Attack. A Jackson start over Garcon would have gotten the Attack up their in that 4-5 log jam.
