![]() Week 15 finally saw some definition come to the standings. Three teams (Black & Blue Attack, Quiet Storm & M. Takers) have clinched a Elite Spot. Though there is no clue who will wind up in which place. Only one Elite spot is open and there are 4 other teams (Dream Team, Good Fellas, Body Shop & Tsunami Brothers) with a shot at that (although admittedly the Dream Team would have to totally collapse to loose the last spot). Assuming the Dream Team loses our, the Fellas would need to win out and maintain a point lead on the Dream Team (+46.8). The Shop would need to win out and have the Fellas loose once and make up points on the Dream Team (-91.7). The Tsunami Brothers need to win out and light up the scoreboard like a pinball machine. In case the notes are late next week (which is a possibility), Have a Merry Xmas SWFFLers!! Don't forget to keep an eye on the old web site (http://swffl.50megs.com). It has updated archives and historical records. I will also add some web-exclusive materials there, like the complete 2008 Draft analysis, as I develop them. Anybody with ideas, send them to me and I will see what I can do. Key Matchups to watch this Week The Black & Blue Attack will try to avenge their early season loss to the Dream Team and hold on to that top spot. The Jelly Beans will try to avenge their early season to the Black Revenge, both teams are gearing up for those Week 17 consolation prizes. The M. Takers will try to complete the season sweep of the Good Fellas and keep their title hopes alive. The Body Shop will try to avenge their early season loss to the Tsunami Brothers and keep their Elite hopes alive. The Quiet Storm will try to complete the season sweep of the Young Gunz and keep their title hopes alive. Spock's locks were 4 of 5 last week making him 32 of 65 (49%) on the year. He retains top billing. Norm's Lines (my estimates) were 1 of 5 last week making him 38 of 65 (58%) on the year and his lines appear below: DT -8 BB (248) BS -3 TB (221)JB -2 BR (216) YG -1 QS (225) GF -1 MT (209) Three games were over on Sunday. The other two were in for some Monday Night Madness!! The Black & Blue avenged their early season loss to the Tsunami Brothers. Williams, Thomas and Colston led the Black & Blue to their 4th helmet of the year and kept them on top of the standings. Moss led the Tsunami Brothers in the losing effort. Despite the loss, the Brothers still have slim Elite hopes. |
The Quiet Storm avenged their early season loss to the Jelly Beans and kept pace with the Black & Blue. The Storm was led by McNabb and Andre Johnson as they clinched a Elite Spot. The Beans did not have any player on their roster produce more than 20 points. The Dream Team completed the season sweep of the Good Fellas. The Dream Team was led by Romo, Morris, Johnson and Jackson as they kept their title hopes (and more importantly their Elite hopes) alive. The Fellas were led by Rivers and Steve Smith. Despite the loss the Fellas still have a shot at a Elite Spot. The Fellas bench would not have helped them either. The Body Shop, Jackson and the EAGLES overcame a 10.9 point lead against the Black Revenge. Rhodes and Bryant led the Shop as they completed the season sweep. The Revenge did not have a starter clear 20 points. AS Russell and Curtis start would have given the Revenge a season split. The Shop's "W" kept heir slim Elite hopes alive. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the M. Takers and the Young Gunz. The Takers completed the season sweep, clinched a Elite position and kept their title hopes alive as Steve Heiden was not able to make up a 11.2 point leads. In fact Heiden scored more "Injury Cart Rides" than he did points. So with Heiden safely tucked away in the trainer's bed, the Takers could sleep with visions of the "SWFFL" trophy dancing in their head. The Takers were led by Dallas Clark. Cassel, Turner and Moss led the Young Gunz in the loss. Event eh Gunz best lineup would have failed to beat the Takers. CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
