Week 2 finds three undefeated teams and three winless teams. Check those BYE WEEKS when making up your lineup, they start this week. If anybody has a problem understanding how to do transactions on SportsLine please feel free to call me and I will go through it with you.

The printed notes have some information than isn't on any of the web versions. If you do not have word, I can send PDF versions of the Notes or you can download wordviewer from Microsoft.com. The league's url is http://swffl.50megs.com .

Key Matchups to watch this Week
The Good Fellas meet the Secan Tsunami, the Tusunami lose T.O. to BYE/injury and the Fellas only WR not on a BYE has yet to play this year. That should be interesting. The Black & Blue Attack take on the upstart Jail Birds. The Jail Birds are taking the SWFFL by storm thus far. It must be beginner's luck. The undefeated Quiet Storm take on the winless Body Shop. Take heart Casey, at least LT is off this week. In another contest between the winless and undefeated the Jelly Beans take on the Black Revenge. The Revenge's average margin of victory is 1.5 points. The new look M. Takers take on the Dream Team. Both teams realize that the difference between 2-1 and 1-2 sure seem like a lot more than one game.

Spock begins is defense of the Oddsmakers Title this week, his locks appear above. Norm's lines (or as it is more often than not, my estimates) appear below:

GF -1 ST (191)     JB -4 BR (196)
BB -2 JB (194)     DT -8 MT (210)
BS -3 QS (195)

Three of the games were over on Sunday. The other 2 were in for some Monday Night Madness.

In a battle of week 1 winners, the Quiet Storm defeated the Secane Tsunami. The wave was flattened by the wind I guess. More likely it was Palmer and Tomlinson that did the flattening. For the Tsunami, Warner looked more like the GIANTS version than the RAMS version. Both teams had a couple of coaching mistakes, but even the Tsunami's best lineup would have left them short.

The Jail Birds climbed to 2-0 and their second straight helmet by stepping all over the Dream Team. The RAVENS special teams have been on fire for the first 2 weeks and have helped the Jail Birds get off to such a huge start. Driver also had a nice game for the Jail Birds. Chad Johnson shook off the cobwebs and led the Dream Team in the loss. There is no word yet about whether the Dream Team management will be punishing Chad for that woeful edition of the Chicken Dance.

In a contest between teams searching for their first win, the M. Takers left no doubt about who won this week as they beat the Jelly Beans by 29 points. Last week found the M. Takers examining the tie-breaker rule. Confused, they just decide they won't put themselves in that position any more. They went into Monday up by 13 points and the JAGUARS padded that lead by 16. The Takers were led by Manning and Jackson. The Beans only cored 74 (which was pretty good last year, but won't cut it this year). Nobody on the Beans cleared the 20 point barrier.

There were 2 really close games with Monday night implications. At the request of the Body Shop, I made the other game the "Game of the Week". The Shop went into Monday night down by 5 with Parker against the Black Revenge and Jeff Reed. The JAGUARS kept Reed off the board which was good for the Shop. The JAGS also kept Parker down to 2 points (that is not many yards). The Revenge won their 2nd straight squeaker. They don't ask how you won, just how many you won. Johnson and Coles led the Shop in the loss. Burress and Bryant should led the Revenge. Brees or Addai would have gotten the Shop in the 'W' column.

The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Black & Blue Attack and the Good Fellas. The Black & Blue carried a 15 point lead into Monday night against the Fellas, Taylor and the STEELERS. Taylor and the STEELERS managed to come up 1 point short. Taylor was 1 yard receiving short of giving the Fellas a tie-breaker win. One extra sack by the STEELERS would have gotten the Fellas their first win instead of the Black & Blue. The Fellas wasted an MVP performance by Eli. McNabb almost threw away 2 games this week, but he did manage to lead the Attack to the 'W'. Personally, I would have preferred he would have kept the lead in the NFL game.
