In the highest scoring game in SWFFL history, the Secane Tsunami defeated the Dream Team 151-140. It is without doubt the highest scoring game in history and the highest score by a loser. A Kevin Jones start would have kept the Dream Team above the Elite Line instead of the Secane Tsunami. The Dream Team wasted an MVP performance by Tory Holt. The Secane Tsunami's Bulger and Reggie Brown more than made up for the Holt performance. Don't you just hate when you outscore every team in the league except for the team you are playing. I've had it happen to me several times, you never get used to it. |

The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Body Shop and the Black % Blue Attack. The battle of first and last went into Monday with the Attack and Boldin holding a 25 point lead against the Shop, Rackers and the BEARS, In the end, the Attack still won by 17, but Boldin had to put up an unreal number just to keep up with the BEARS. The BEARS 3 TDs may start to make that 3rd round pick look justified; however the 1-5 record rips the rug right out from under the legs of that premise. A Brees and Bryant start could have shrunk the difference between first and last to 3 games. |

Although this game was tied for the closest and also had Monday night implications, I had to hold back the "GOW" honors. The Quiet Storm, Muhammad and a 20 point lead were too much for the Black revenge, Grossman and Gould. That vaunted CARDINAL defense did in the Attack. LT and Branch led the Quiet Storm. The Revenge wasted nice performances by Coles and Williams. A Hassleback or Horn start would have left both teams at 3-3. |

In a game with one of the lower scoring performances, the Jelly Beans and a 91 point lead were just too much for the Jail Birds and Berrian. The Beans were led by Delhomme and T.J Housheywhatzit. In a weird occurrence, not one Jail Bird player in the starting lineup or on the bench managed to score double digits. With the win, the Jelly Beans climbed back to 500 . The Jail Birds have now dropped 4 in a row. All I can say is that beginner's luck does not last as long as it used to. |

In another game that featured triple digit scoring by both teams, the M. Takers defeated the Good Fellas. The Takers were led by Vick, Barber, Jackson and Brown. The Fellas wasted a "2005ish" performance by Steven Smith. Maybe that hammy is finally healed. The "W" keeps the Takers above the Elite Line. The loss drops the Fellas two games below 500, which is not terminal at this point, but they definitely have to get healthy soon. |
