Week 3 finds no undefeated teams and no winless teams. I believe this is the earliest I've ever seen that happen. Check those BYE WEEKS when making up your lineup, they start his week. Don't forget the web-exclusive "Weekly Previews" and "Free Agents List" when making those starting lineup changes or making that acquisition that puts you over the top. If you have an idea for something new, let me know and we'll see if I can add it.

If you need me to mail the Notes, give me a call, I think we can avoid the postage, one way or another, if not I will mail you a copy of the notes. It is cheaper and also much quicker to go electronic. The league's url is http://swffl.50megs.com .

Key Matchups to watch this Week

The Jelly Beans will take on the Quiet Storm in a battle between two 2-1 teams. The Good Fellas and Body Shop meet in a contest between 2 teams coming off big wins. The M. Takers and Black Revenge meet in a contest between veteran teams that started 0-2 and 2-0, but both dropped their 0's in week 3. The Black & Blue Attack and Secane Tsunami both teams got sort of whacked in week 3 and are looking forward to bouncing back in week 4. The Dream Team and Bulldogs in a battle of teams coming off a heart-breaking loss and a big win. Hoping the Dogs shot their wad in week 3.

Norm was 4-5 this week making him 6-10 (60%) on the season and he retains top billing and his lines appear above. Spock was also 0-5 this week making him 2-10 (20%) on the season and his Locks for Week 3 are:

JB  -1 QS (147)     BB -13 ST (133)
GF  -5 BS (145)     BD -27 DT (133)
BR -19MTD (131)

Technically, none of the games were over on Sunday. Two games were not really in doubt and the other three were up in the air.

The Bull Dogs put a regular shellacking on the Secane Tsunami. The Bull Dogs broke single game scoring record. With the new point per reception rule I had a felling that this as well as all scoring records was in danger. I would not be surprised to see it fall again, but for now it is the Bulldog property. The Bulldogs and a 122 point lead were too much for the Tsunami and Ashley Lelie. The Bulldogs were led by Steve Smith's MVP performance and the last minute pickups of Bledsoe and Glenn.

The Jelly Beans and a 27 point lead were too much for the Black Revenge and Rod Smith. The Beans were led by Tomlinson and Westbrook who combined for 52 points. The Revenge was led by McNabb and Lindell. There were only a few points left on the bench in this contest.

The Body Shop and a 27 point lead was too much for the Quiet Storm and Priest Holmes. The Shop was led by Alexander and Bulger. The Storm was led by Palmer and Jackson in the loss. The Storm gets their first "L" and the Shop get their first "W".

The M. Takers, Elam and an eighteen point lead were too much for the Black & Blue Attack and Kennison. The M. Takers were led by the VIKINGS, like there are players from other teams on the roster. The problem with stocking your fantasy team with players from one team is that if that team does poorly, so does your fantasy team. The Attack was led by Collins and James.

The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Dream Team and the Good Fellas. The Fellas and a 18 point lead were enough to hold off the Dream Team, Green, L. Johnson, Gonzo and the CHIEFS. You would think all those CHIEFS that would be enough, but it wasn't as they only managed to put up 10 points (12 Fantasy points). There were bench points galore for the Dream Team, but they did little more than probably get yours truly banned from the decision making process for the next few weeks. The problem with stocking your fantasy team with players from one team is that if that . . . oh yeah I already said that. The Fellas were led by Ward and Keys. Johnson. The Dream Team wasted good performances by TO, Chad Johnson and Josh Brown.

CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
John T. (Bull Dogs): "That was no tsunami, that was a ripple. Back where it proudly belongs my high point record. Black & Blue I can not believe you lost to the JV team."
