NORM'S LINES FORMAT - Favorite w/Spread on top - Underdog w/Under-Over in parenthesis

Week 6 finds one team pulling ahead. Check those BYE WEEKS when making up your lineup. A semi-request has come in for a list of free-agents, perhaps on the web site. I know there was some resistance to this in the past, so I will ask before putting something like that up. Give me a 'Yes' or 'No' on a Free-Agents Listing. I forgot to ask about this, so send me your vote.

If you need me to mail the Notes, give me a call, I think we can avoid the postage, one way or another, if not I will mail you a copy of the notes. It is cheaper and also much quicker to go electronic. The league's url is http://swffl.50megs.com .

Key Matchups to watch this Week

The M. Takers take on the Bull Dogs. Both teams have Monday night hangovers as they both were involved in Monday Night Madness in Week 5. The Jelly Beans and Black Revenge meet in a battle of 4-2 teams. Both teams are in the Elite and hoping for the Black & Blue to falter. After Week 7, that may only be true for one of these teams. The Sharks and Black & Blue meet as the Sharks try to become the first team to beat the Black & Blue with Daunte under center. The Dream Team takes on the Defending Champion Good Fellas in battle of father and sons. A victory here would mean a lot more than family bragging rights for both teams. The Body Shop takes on the Quiet Storm in a battle of old rivals. The Shop is having a rough year and the Storm is lurking around the Elite Line.

Norm was 3/5 this week and is 12/25 (48%) on the season. He retains top billing (my estimates). Spock was 3/5 this week and is 13/25 (52%) on the season. His locks are below:

BD -16 MT(104)     GF  -3 DT(105)
BR  -2 JB(124)     QS -12 BD(108)
BB -20  S(114)

One game was over before Monday night. Another was more or less over. The other three were still up in the air. In fact, it wouldn't have surprised me if all 3 had a different winner on Monday night than they did this morning.

The Quiet Storm defeated the Black Revenge. The BILLS defense a last second ("hey by the way I need a Defense this week") pickup led the Storm to victory. I'd like to borrow that crystal ball and put to better use than pick a ST that will score this week. Brooks and Davis led the Revenge in the losing effort. If I know one owner in "Death Valley", this loss may cause some heads to roll.

The Black & Blue Attack kept on winning as long as Daunte is leading the team. The Body Shop was this week's victim as Bulger could not overcome Faulk, Bruce and an 83 point lead. Culpepper has been every bit the "Best" pick of the draft this year. I suspect he will still be a first rounder next year.

The Dream Team and Tory Holt overcame a 5 point lead against the M. Takers on Monday Night. The Takers surprisingly veered away from Vick this week. Robinson gave the Takers a small lead going into Monday night. Holt ended the game mercifully for all involved, very quickly. Leftwich performed admirably for the Dream Team. After getting "298 yarded" and "93 yarded (Staley)", I am on the campaign trail for a more standard yardage bonus system.

The Sharks and Jeff Wilkins could not overcome a 12 point lead by the Bull Dogs on Monday night. This was a low scoring affair where no Sunday starter cleared double digits. Interestingly, both teams had RBs with 18 points on the bench. Dillon's start was in doubt right up until game time. The Dogs had to pick between two "splitting time" RBs. Unfortunately for the Dogs, they chose the wrong one.

The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Jelly Beans and the Good Fellas. The Jelly Beans and the BUCCANEERS overcame 3 point deficit to the Good Fellas. BTW, apologies for the incorrect box score posted this morning, which had Kris Brown with 0 and McGahee with 0. These were caught by yours truly and corrected by Monday afternoon. The Beans were led by Favre and Vinatieri. The Good Fellas were hurt by a 0 by Donovan. Unfortunately for the Fellas Donovan cares more about 'EAGLES' wins than 'FELLAS' wins.

CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
Dream Team (Norm): Suspicously Absent!!
Bull Dogs (John T.): "A win is a win is a win, even if it's as ugly as that. Bring it on brother."
