![]() This week finds two undefeated teams and one win less team. By the way the BYE weeks have begun. Each week I put up Pre-game Reviews which indicate where and who your players are playing. I try to ensure that this information is accurate, but I can and do make mistakes. So always double-check your match-ups with more reliable sources. Also, if anyone has an idea for something new to add to the web site, let me know. If it is not too hard to set up, I will try to implement it. If you need me to mail the Notes, give me a call, I think we can avoid the postage, one way or another, if not I will mail you a copy of the notes. It is cheaper and also much quicker to go electronic. The league's url is http://swffl.50megs.com . Key Matchups to watch this Week The M. Takers will take on the Sharks this week. The Sharks just got their first 'W' and the Takers are still looking for one. The Quiet Storm and the Jelly Beans meet in a battle of 1-2 teams. Hard to say must win this early, but the difference between 2-2 and 1-3 seems huge. The Black & Blue Attack and Bull Dogs meet in a contest between Elite teams. The Dogs got their first 'L' this week. The Attack is trying to avoid that first 'L'. The Dream Team will try to hand the Black Revenge their first 'L' of the year. The Revenge escaped a Monday night comeback in Week 3. The Dream team did not. The Body Shop who barely grabbed their first 'W' in Week 3 will try to knock the Defending Champion Good Fellas out of the Elite. Spock was 3/5 this week and is 5/10 (50%) on the season. He retains top billing. Norm was 3/5 this week and is 4/10(40%) on the season. His Lines are below: S -3 MT (94) DT -6 BR(100)JB -1 QS (96) BS -2 GF (90) BB -3 BD (93) Two games were over before Monday night. Another two were more or less over. The final one was up in the air. The Good Fellas pulled out the victory against the Quiet Storm on Sunday night when the DOLPHINS and Chambers finally put 3 points on the board (took a 4th Quarter sack). The Fellas were led by McNabb, Alexander and Roy Williams. The Storm was led by John Carney. Both teams scored over 70 points and it was really a shame that either of these teams had to lose. |
The Sharks put up 99 points on Sunday and had a fairly good chance of hitting triple digits with Portis on Monday night against the Jelly Beans. The Sharks were ked by Manning and Walker in that shootout at the RCA Dome. The Beans problem was that they only had 1 player in that shootout, as Favre led them in defeat. The Black & Blue Attack and a 47 point lead were too much for the M. Takers and Keyshawn Johnson. The Takers were led by Elam and were let down by their highly drafted QB. The Attack was led by Culpepper and Wayne and is still undefeated. Now admit it, how many of you snickered when Culpepper went number four. Who's snickering now. The Bull Dogs, Testaverde and Glenn could not overcome a 19 point lead against the Black Revenge. In this match of undefeated teams, Jamal Lewis put up a big number for the Revenge. The Bull Dogs chipped away but in the end they left too much to chew for the age-less wonder and his WR. The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Body Shop and the Dream Team. The Body Shop, the COWBOYS and Coles fell short of overcoming a 9 point lead by the Dream Team on Monday night. This is sort of a weak 'GOW'. The true 'GOW' should be the Storm-Fellas game, but I really like having a game with some Monday night action in the 'GOW'. The Dream Team finally got some points out of their QB, guess all that begging worked. The Shop was led by a big game by Bulger, but their running game came up small and that eventually cost them. The Dream Team was led by Trent Green and got some late points out of Staley which made the Monday night comeback a little harder, in fact it was the difference.
