SPOCK'S LOCKS FORMAT - Favorite w/Spread on top - Underdog w/Under-Over in parenthesis

The intro section is going to run a little long this week. First and foremost Happy Holidays from the Commissioner's office. I wish all of you and yours only the best during the upcoming holidays. Next, the NFL in its infinite wisdom has elected to hold games on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I am unsure of what my availability will be on Christmas. If possible, I would like to have all early starters by the beginning of the Christmas Eve game. I am sure I will not be home on Xmas day, but I am not sure when I will be leaving, but I am pretty sure I will not be home at 5:00.

There has been a few lineup mistakes made this year. I make them all the time every year. I encourage everyone to send me a password and then use the lineup submission pages. Do it early enough to get a confirmation back from me (I always send an OK, so that you know I got it). You can always make changes later if necessary. The e-mail provides documentation of the lineup, that you can't get with a phone call. Also, I usually have the lineups posted on the web site by 1:30. Please check your lineup, just to make sure I did not make a mistake. Also double-check any lineup you received over the phone from me and report any differences to me. The only thing worse than a mistake in the lineup, is having someone's (namely me) mistake drastically change the direction in which you thought your game was heading.

Key Matchups to watch this Week

The M. Takers will try to complete the season sweep of the Bulldogs. The Dogs are still fighting to get into the Elite, the Takers are fighting to get out of the basement. The Jelly Beans will try to complete the season sweep of the Black Revenge. The Beans are playing for the crown, the Revenge are still in the Elite hunt. The Sharks will try to complete the season sweep of the Black & Blue Attack. The Attack is still in the Title battle, the Sharks are trying to keep their Elite spot. The Dream Team will try to complete the season sweep of the Good Fellas. More is on the line this week than family bragging rights. The Quiet Storm will try to complete the sweep of the Body Shop in an elimination game. The loser probably gets eliminated this week, by the way the winner may get eliminated too.

Spock was 3/5 this week and is 33/70 (47%) on the season. He regains top billing. Norm (my estimates) was 2/5 this week and is 37/70 (53%) on the season. His lines (my estimates) are below:

MT -1 BD (95)     DT -8 GF(104)
JB -2 BR (96)     QS -2 BS (98)
 S -3 BB (97)

One game was over on Sunday. Two others were pretty much over. The final two sort of up in the air. My game narratives are short because I spent a lot of the page on the intro.

The Quiet Storm completed the season sweep of the Black Revenge. The loss puts a serious damper on the Revenge Elite aspirations. The difference in the game was a last second hook of Volek and the insertion of Pennington in the starting lineup. That happens often, the last second change backfires.

The Dream Team completed the season sweep of the M. Takers as Branch could not overcome a 37 pt. lead on Monday night. The Dream Team was led by the CHIEF double bubble of Johnson and Green (okay, not really a double bubble).

The Black & Blue Attack completed the season sweep of the Body Shop as Brady and Patten could not overcome a 38 pt. lead on Monday. Black & Blue was led by Culpepper, who seems to be getting hot again.

The Good Fellas completed the season sweep of the Jelly Beans as Vinatieri could not defeat Chambers and a 16 pt. lead. The Fellas were led by Martin, Williams and the PANTHERS.

The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Bulldogs and the Sharks. The Bulldogs, PATRIOTS and a 12 point lead were too much for the Sharks and Dillon. The Dogs were led by a nice receiving day. Kennison led the Sharks. The Sharks left a lot of points on the bench in the name of Jerry Porter.

CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
Dream Team (Norm): Suspiciously Absent!!
Bull Dogs (John T.): "One point madness, one point holds out."
