SPOCK'S LOCKS FORMAT - Favorite w/Spread on top - Underdog w/Under-Over in parenthesis

In week 13, the top two Elite teams kept on keeping on. That is bad news for basically everyone else in the league. They are now 1 game plus points up on most of the contenders. On a different note, everybody put up points this week as the low score of the week was good enough to win a game most weeks.

If you would still like the Notes mailed to you let me know and I will start mailing them out to you. It is cheaper and also much quicker to go electronic. The league's url is http://swffl.50megs.com .

Key Matchups to watch this Week

The Black Revenge will try to avenge their week 5 loss to the Jelly Beans. The Revenge has been on fire. The Beans are fresh off losing a heartbreaker on Monday night, and have lost 4 in a row. The Good Fellas will try to complete the season sweep of the Bull Dogs. The Fellas are at the top of the heap. The Dogs are elsewhere. The Quiet Storm will try to complete the season sweep of the Sharks. The Storm is in the mix for the trophy. The Sharks are on a bit of a roll. The Body Shop will try to complete the season sweep of the Black & Blue. The Shop is still hanging on to a Elite Spot. The Black & Blue are on the downward slide of a life-time. The M. Takers will try to complete the sweep of the Dream Team. The Takers broke a mini-slump on Monday and is still in the Elite mix. The Dream Team got close, but the loss this week may have ended it for the Dream Team.

Spock was 3/5 making him 29/60 (48%) on the season. He retains top billing. Norm was 2/5 this week making him 28/60 (47%) on the season. His lines (my estimates) are below:

JB -1 BR (98)     BB -3 BS (97)
GF -5 BD (97)     DT -8 MT(104)
QS -1  S (99)

Three games were officially over Sunday. One game was more or less over. The last one was sort of still up in the air.

The Black Revenge completed the season sweep of the Dream Team. The Revenge were led by the DOLPHINS and 3 other starters getting into double digits. Their QB put up a goose egg. The Dream Team got a nice game out of Holmes and a good game out of Akers, but they were out dueled at the defensive position. The Revenge is just outside of the Elite (in fact they were in before C-Mart scored). The Dream Team may just be done.

The Quiet Storm avenged their early season loss to the Bull Dogs and kept pace with the Good Fellas before Pennington suited up on Monday. Portis and the RAVNES lead the Storm. The Dogs got a nice game out of Faulk and Wilkins, but that was about it. A Plummer start could have made Monday night interesting.

The Good Fellas avenged their early season loss to the Body Shop. The Fellas put the Shop in a foul mood early on with Chambers on Thanksgiving. This game featured two interesting coaching decisions. The Shop overestimated the importance of an MRI test done on Manning's shoulder. The Dogs overestimated the BUC defense, giving Horn the nod over Jimmy Smith. Neither decision made a difference, but the Shop has sworn off reading any news on the Internet --- (I doubt it).

The Sharks and a 41 point lead were too much for the Black & Blue Attack, George, Mason and the TITANS as the Sharks avenged their early season loss to the Attack. The Sharks were led by 5 guys in double-digits. The Sharks have now won 3 in a row. The Attack got scoring out of all of their Sunday starters, just not enough points. The Attack has lost 7 in a row. The last time they won they were in first place. They now find themselves a game out of the basement. This collapse rivals the one the EAGLES had in their last year under Kotite (7-2 to 7-9).

The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the M. Takers and the Jelly Beans. The Beans and a 4 point lead were not enough for the Takers and C-Mart. The Takers completed the season sweep. The Beans were led by the RAMS and Alexander. The Beans are on a 4 game losing streak. The Takers snapped a 3 game losing streak. The Takers "Purple" Double Bubble is getting by despite a sever lack of a supporting cast, though Cloud did nicely for a last second plug-in (Sometimes Chris Mortensen is right!!). The 22 out of Hanson would have made for a calmer Monday night, but the Takers probably figured the Lions would not being thinking FG after the first quarter against the Packers. I know, that is what I was thinking.

CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
Dream Team (Norm): Suspiciously Absent!!
Body Shop (Casey): "I never cease to amaze myself with coaching stupidity."
