SPOCK'S LOCKS FORMAT - Favorite w/Spread on top - Underdog w/Under-Over in parenthesis

In week 12, 2 of the Elite teams lost and two won which moved both the championship and 4th place closer to all of us that managed to win this week. PLEASE make sure you get your Thanksgiving lineups in by the start of the first game on Thursday. I will post the Thursday starts on the Web before I go out for dinner.

If you would still like the Notes mailed to you let me know and I will start mailing them out to you. It is cheaper and also much quicker to go electronic. The league's url is http://swffl.50megs.com .

Key Matchups to watch this Week

The Black Revenge will try to complete the season sweep against the Dream Team. These two teams are high in the Points For and Points against categories. The Winner gets hold of the 5th place position waiting for one of the Elite Teams to fall out of the Monay. The Quiet Storm will try to avenge their early season loss to the Bull Dogs. The Storm is in a battle for the Championship. The Dogs are in a battle to avoid the basement. The Black and Blue will try to complete the season sweep of the Sharks. The Attack has been on a slide and the Sharks have been slowly climbing. The Body Shop will try to sweep the Good Fellas. This game will go a long way in determining who walks away with the trophy at the end of the year. The M. Takers will try to complete the season sweep of the Jelly Beans. Each of these teams is trying to break a losing streak.

Spock was 3/5 making him 26/55 (47%) on the season. He retains top billing. Norm was 3/5 this week making him 26/55 (47%) on the season. His lines (my estimates) are below:

DT -8 BR(110)     GF -2 BS (96)
BD -1 QS (99)     JB -4 MT (98)
S -3 BB (97)

Three games were officially over Sunday. One game was more or less over. The last one was sort of still up in the air.

The Quiet Storm completed the sweep of the Jelly Beans and climbed right back in to the hunt for the Championship. The Storm was led by their ST and PK. Both QB's came up small, biut who could blame the Storm for keeping Hassleback on the bench against the RAVENS. The Beans are glad it is finally safe to play McNabb again, bit they were sure looking for more than 6 points out of the rejuvenated QB.

The Sharks avenged their Week 3 loss to the Body Shop. The Sharks were led by Kitna and not much else. Kitna is a free agent pick up who outscored the Shop's 2nd round pick (Manning). The Shop's pricey Colt Double-Bubble could only manage 2 points. Has the "Rudi" chant been put on hold until next year (or the next showing of the movie)? Dillon and Rudi split carries, but Dillon was more effective.

The Good Fellas avenged their early season loss to the M. Takers and staked their claim for the Championship. The Fellas started 1-3, but have won 7 of the last 8 and have climbed to the top of the standings. The Fellas were led by McAllister. The Takers pricey Bubble managed 0 points.

The Black Revenge and Black & Blue split the "Black" Bowl series as the Revenge and a 26 point lead were too much for the Attack and Toomer to overcome on Monday night. The Revenge was led by their RB/WR crew that pitched in 88 of their 93 points. The Holcomb move looked good on paper, but it did not quite pan out. The Steelers and Browns always play those FG games. The Attack got nice scoring out of their team, but this was one of those weeks where you wind up cursing the Fantasy Gods for putting you up against the Helmet team. The Attack has dropped 5 straight and has dropped form 1st place to 7th place during the slide.

The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Dream Team and the Bull Dogs. The Dream Team, a six point lead, McCardell and the BUCS were too much for the Bulldogs and Pittman on Monday night. The Dogs have fallen to the basement and the Dream Team is still alive for a Elite position. Their point total could make a difference if they can get winning streak going (I am trying to use a new encouraging, nurturing tone when I discuss my own team, It may not help my team, but it may help keep my blood pressure down). The Dream Team was led by Akers, Holmes and James. The Dogs left a lot of points on the Bench. Boston finally had a nice game and Faulk chipped in a good game (good but not great).
