NORM'S LOCKS FORMAT - Favorite w/Spread on top - Underdog w/Under-Over in parenthesis

Week 6 sees the last undefeated team go down, the 72 DOLPHINS survive for another year. With every member of the SWFFL probably rooting against him, the mighty Casey has struck-out. There are some teams off this week, so make sure you check. If you can live with the web version or if you want to try and receive these notes by e-mail, let me know. It is cheaper and also much quicker. The league's url is http://swffl.50megs.com .

Key Matchups to watch this Week

The Jelly Beans and Bull Dogs meet up in Week 7. The Beans have a 5 game losing skid to stop. The Dogs are starting to slip, something has to give. The Good Fellas find themselves sleeping with the fishes this week. The Sharks will try to keep the youngsters down under and in the process keep themselves out of the dreaded basement. Week 7 brings us the semi-annual 'Black' bowl as the Black & Blue Attack and Black Revenge meet up. The Attack has had a fine year so far setting records and everything. The Revenge finally jumped above that Elite Line and a big win this week would make their season look better. The Dream Team and M. Takers meet up in a battle of Football Central occupants. Neither team is thrilled with their season so far, but both are coming off big wins and it is a long season. The Quiet Storm and Body Shop meet in a contest between Elite teams that are both coming off tough losses. It will be interesting to see who wins this titanic battle, the team that came out of the "woodwork" to draft, or the one that drafted from the woods.

Norm was 4/5 this week, making him 8/25(32%) on the season. He regains top billing. Spock was 3/5 on the week, making him 18/25 (72%) on the season. His locks appear below:

BD -22 JB(104)     MT -12 DT (90)
S   -6 GF (92)     BS  -1 QS(111)
BB -15 BR(111)

There was 2 games that was technically over by Sunday. Two other games were more or less over. One other was still very much up in the air.

The Sharks handed the Body Shop their first 'L' of the year, and they still had Garcia in their back pocket on Monday. The Sharks got a big game out of Vanderjagt and then everybody else chipped in a bit. The Shop got nice production despite the 'L'. Would have been a much more interesting if Casey would have started the COWPOKE double-bubble in honor of his visit to Dallas. Carter outscored Bledsoe and Bryant outscored 2 of the Shop starting WRs. All I can say, is way to go Bone. We can't have Casey come back from a long layoff and just walk away with the trophy. You'll have to work a little to get it on your mantle Shop.

The Black Revenge defeated the Quiet Storm in a tight one featuring former partners. The Revenge pulled it out on Sunday by answering Griese's 12 4th quarter points with a Portis combined yardage bonus and nudged the Revenge past the Storm by 1 point. Unfortunately for the Storm, they were unaware that the "Casey" effect was in play in Dallas and missed out on the Galloway 18. The Revenge had good days from Brooks and Lewis.

The Dream Team defeated the Jelly Beans when Lindell and Jackson could not overcome a 42 point lead on Monday night. The Dream Team was led by a fine running game and was really helped by the schedule makers as the Beans were severely hit by the BYE this week. Brunnel's concussion also helped.

The M. Takers let the Good Fellas have it big time as they finally put up some big points. Jose Cortes could not overcome Owens and a 110 point lead. The Takers got 25+ points out of Culpepper, Bettis and Elam. The Good Fellas can't seem to manage to get their starting QB going.

The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between Black & Blue Attack and the Bull Dogs. Is it just me or have the Attack showing up in the "GOW" every week? The Attack did not scoreas much as the last 2 weeks, just enough to win. The Attack pulled it out on Monday Night as Alexander overcame a 4 point lead by the Bull Dogs. The Black & Blue got double-digit production out of Gannon, Tomlinson and Peterson, nothing like the last couple of weeks, but enough to grab first place. Favre and Williams led the Dogs. The Dogs have lost three times to current Elite teams and have dropped out of the Elite for the first time. You have to beat the good teams to win the Championship.

CHATTERBOX:(Get Quotes in by Monday Night)
