The Bull Dogs (dare I say the hottest team in the league) and a 14 point lead were too much for the M. Takers, Rice and Elam. The Dogs have won 3 in a row and have moved from the basement to the pack that is contending for a Elite spot. The Takers have a tenuous grip on their Elite spot. The Takers were hit hard by the BYE (but not as hard as Flutie was hit) and took a chance on the waiver wire. Rhodes 11 kept them in the game, the Joseph move was a good mov e that proved unfruitful. This game (like the Bears game) looked all but over. A score to Booker and then the OT BEARS score snatched the victory for the Dogs. The Pre-Game Hype:The M. Takers take on the Bull Dogs in a battle of teams on the rise. Both have won 2 in a row and are on a roll. The Predictions/History: Spock: M. Takers 49 Bull Dogs 41 Spock's Predictions based on Points For, Points Against and Winning % |

The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Black Revenge and Good Fellas. The youngsters built up a 14 point lead going into Monday night on the arm of Donovan and the legs of the A-Train (seems to be doing better than Bruce to me). The "Death Valley" squad kept Gannon and Janikowski in reserve for Monday and the RAIDER duo easily overcame the 14 point deficit. The Revenge was heard to say something about Rookies trying to win in their house or something like that. The Pre-Game Hype:The Black Revenge takes on the steadily sinking ship that is the Good Fellas. The Fellas have lost 4 in a row after starting 3-0. The Predictions/History: Spock: Black Revenge 52 Good Fellas 47 Spock's Predictions based on Points For, Points Against and Winning % |

The Jelly Beans, Griese and an 11 point lead were too much for the Black & Blue Attack, Mike Anderson and the Raiders to overcome. Thee teams were putting up big points with the likes of Manning, Owens, Green and Priest Holmes. On a week where points seem to be scarce, either of these teams would have had a good chance against any other team. The Pre-Game Hype:The Black & Blue will try to hold on to that last Elite Spot against the Jelly Beans. The Beans are trying to climb out of the basement and salvage their season. The Predictions/History: Spock: Black & Blue 49 Jelly Beans 46 Spock's Predictions based on Points For, Points Against and Winning % |

The Dream Team and Quiet Storm paired up in a battle of 1st and 2nd place teams. The Dream Team was hampered by the BYE and the Storm has had a full infirmary. So both teams limped on to the field and the traded a few blows and called it a day as the Dream team hung on to the victory with Rod Smith still to come. The Storm's Saint double-bubble threw double bubbles allowing the Dream Team peaceful dreams on Sunday night. The Pre-Game Hype:The Dream Team and Quiet Storm will square off in another battle between the top 2 teams in the standings. The Dream Team finds itself without Warner, a perfect opportunity for the Storm. The Predictions/History: Spock: Dream Team 53 Quiet Storm 52 Spock's Predictions based on Points For, Points Against and Winning % |

The Sharks, Brown, BRONCOS and a 5 pt. lead were too much for the Hammer Heads and Garner to overcome on Monday Night. The Sharks are finally getting some production out of Stephen Davis and Vandy had a great game. Favre's 6 was a bit disappointing. The Heads goose-egg from Batch did them in, but Thrash seems to be emerging into a must start player. The Pre-Game Hype:The Hammer Heads and Sharks will meet in week 9, trying to forget their week 8 failures. The Heads had been on a little Helmet streak before last week's setback. The Predictions/History: Spock: Hammer Heads 48 Sharks 44 Spock's Predictions based on Points For, Points Against and Winning % |
