The Black & Blue Attack pulled out the victory over the M. Takers on Sunday night as Manning and the RAIDERS overcame an early M. Taker lead. This game featured classic QB vs. WR matchup. The Takers Garcia put up the points but all of his TD passes went to the Black & Blue's Owens. If one of those 9 point TD's ends up with Stokes instead of Owens, we'd have a massive traffic jam in the standings at 3-2.

The Pre-Game Hype:

The M. Takers take on the Black & Blue in a contest between former partners. Interestingly, if the Takers win, they could knock the Black & Blue out of the elite and take over their spot after an 0-2 start.

The Predictions/History:

  Norm:    M. Takers     49      Black & Blue  46
  Spock:   M. Takers     56      Black & Blue  52

The Quiet Storm soundly defeated the youngsters of the Good Fellas. The Storm put up 70 points after being the last team to cross the triple digit total points barrier. The Good Fellas, for the second time this y ear started a player that was off even though they had an alternate player who was at least playing. It has not hurt them yet, but might I suggest an updated NFL schedule.

The Pre-Game Hype:

The Good Fellas and Quiet Storm will try to get back on the winning track after losses this week. The Fellas get hit with a big bye, and the Storm is coming off a season low in scoring.

The Predictions/History:

Norm:    Quiet Storm   50      Good Fellas   48
Spock:   Good Fellas   50      Quiet Storm   38

The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Sharks and the Jelly Beans. The Sharks, Stephen Davis and a 12 point lead were too much for the Jelly Beans and Emmitt. It looked like a much better contest until Tim Brown widened the lead on Sunday night, but Emmitt vs. Washington looked like it had possibilities. Of course, the same could be said for Stephen Davis vs. the Cowboys. BTW, who at ABC scheduled this game for M onday Night!!

The Pre-Game Hype:

The Jelly Beans and Sharks come together in the battle of "Cedar Lane". Both teams are on losing streaks that need to be corrected lest they find themselves too far away from the elusive elite line.

The Predictions/History:

Norm:    Jelly Beans   47      Sharks        43
Spock:   Jelly Beans   43      Sharks        41

The 3-1 Black Revenge took on the winless Hammer Heads. On paper this looked like a no-brainer, but that is why we play the games. The Hammer Heads led by Culpepper (who may finally be living up to the hype), Carter and Freeman. The Revenge had a great day out of Shaun Alexander, but Gannon put up a goose-egg and ended any chance of a comeback.

The Pre-Game Hype:

The Black Revenge will take on the Hammer Heads this week. The Revenge needs to keep winning to keep their re-peat Championship hopes alive. The Heads need the win to stay within sniffing distance of the Elite line.

The Predictions/History:

Norm:    Hammer Heads  50      Black Revenge 46
Spock:   Black Revenge 57      Hammer Heads  33

The Dream Team a 14 point lead and Galloway were too much for the Bull Dogs and Westbrook on Monday night. The Bull Dogs tenacious defense limited Warner to 6 points and held the Dream Team to their lowest output of the year. Unfortunately for the Bull Dogs, their offense did not match the defensive performance. The Dream Team won despite the CHIEFS and their 7 points were the highest score in their lineup. The Dream team lineup did get scores out o f a bunch of their starters.

The Pre-Game Hype:

The Dream Team will try to keep themselves in the penthouse and put the Bulldogs back in the cellar. I expect the level of banter will be turned up a notch at "Maggie's".

The Predictions/History:

Norm:    Dream Team    70      Bull Dogs     60
Spock:   Dream Team    66      Bull Dogs     45
