The M. Takers kept their Championship hopes just barely alive with a sweep of the Black Revenge. This game looked real interesting until Faulk broke off a 70 yarder and took all the fun out of this one. The bad n ews is the Takers need a collapse by the Dream Team and perfection to take home the trophy. The good news id would take a collapse by them and near perfection by the Beans to unseat them from 2nd. Their point total makes a drop to 4th almost impossible. The Revenge once again was the 2ndhighest scoring team which just happened to face the helmet team. Toast your fantasy year last year must have angered the Fantasy Football Gods beyond belief. The Pre-Game Hype:The M. Takers will try to compete the season sweep of the Defending Champion Black Revenge. The Takers need a little run of luck to win the championship. The Revenge is one of the highest scoring and unbelievably the point total and the Bull Dogs are the only things keeping them out of the basement. The Predictions/History: Spock: M. Takers 59 Black Revenge 48 Week 7: M. Takers 37 Black Revenge 35 Spock's Predictions based on Points For, Points Against and Winning % |

The Sharks easily completed the sweep of the Good Fellas. The Good Fellas players seem to have packed it in, or maybe they are saving it for the big week 17 consolation prizes. The Sharks were led by Favre and Alstott are back in the Elite. The Pre-Game Hype:The Sharks will try to complete the season sweep against the Goodfellas. The Sharks are on the verge of getting back in the Elite. The Fellas are pretty much out of it. The Predictions/History: Spock: Sharks 48 Good Fellas 46 Week 7: Sharks 37 Good Fellas 34 Spock's Predictions based on Points For, Points Against and Winning % |

The Dream Team reduced their magic number to 1 by avenge their early season loss to the Hammer Heads. It was not a pretty win. One could argue that the Championship race would be a lot tighter if Bouman did not leave after one series (Moss may have kept the Beans in contention too). There are rumors spreading that the Dream Team is a "paper tiger" of a first place team. All I can say is we win it, and do not finish in first in total points, it will not be t he first time that has happened and I'd rather be a "paper tiger" champion than an out of the Elite wannabe or even a strong runner-up. The Pre-Game Hype:The Dream Team needs to avenge the Week 7 drubbing by the Hammer Heads to try and lock up the Championship before close calls like Monday go against them. The Heads, if they win out have a shot at the Elite. The Predictions/History: Spock: Dream Team 51 Hammer Heads 46 Week 7: Hammer Heads 89 Dream Team 24 Spock's Predictions based on Points For, Points Against and Winning % |

The Quiet Storm ousted on of the teams blocking their way into the Elite by sweeping the Black & Blue for the season (and from 4th to 6th). The Storm held off a late Manning surge (They may be the only ones glad Dilger threw that pass to Harrison). Ron Dayne - who had the crystal ball. The Pre-Game Hype:The Black and Blue needs to avenge their early season loss to the Storm to keep their title shot alive and probably more important to keep a hold on to that final Elite spot. The Storm is in the 6-8 win or go home boat. The Predictions/History: Spock: Quiet Storm 52 Black & Blue 47 Week 7: Quiet Storm 63 Black & Blue 25 Spock's Predictions based on Points For, Points Against and Winning % |

The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Jelly Beans and the Bull Dogs. The Dogs had been finding ways to loose and the Beans were on a torrid streak. After Rhodes ripped off a 15 point run everything looked like it would change. But Rhodes hung around the 90 yard mark forever. He Fumbled twice, was injured twice (even had to leave the field) and the Beans kept clinging to a 4 point lead. Finally Rhodes came back out and broke the 100 yard mark, which ended one of the more impressive winning streaks in years and ended a fine Championship run by the Beans. Beans, I would be pulling for your first Championship if I was not in the running myself. The Pre-Game Hype:The Jelly Beans will try to avenge their early season loss to the Bull Dogs. The Beans are red hot and have gone from the basement to pushing for the title. The Bull Dogs are pretty much playing spoiler now. The Predictions/History: Spock: Jelly Beans 51 Bull Dogs 36 Week 7: Bull Dogs 25 Jelly Beans 12 Spock's Predictions based on Points For, Points Against and Winning % |
