The M. Takers, Faulk and a 29 point lead were too much for the Black & Blue Attack and Carney on Monday night. The battle of former partners was a split this season. The Takers were led by a great WR showing as they put up 53 points without the Faulk-Garcia 1-2 punch. The Black and Blue got good games out of their COLTS, unfortunately they only had 2 of them.

The Pre-Game Hype:

The M. Takers will try to avenge their week 6 loss to the Black & Blue and keep first place in sight. The Black & Blue are hoping for a sweep and a little better position in the Elite.

The Predictions/History:

  Norm:    Black & Blue  48      M. Takers     46
  Spock:   M. Takers     51      Black & Blue  60

 Week 6:   Black & Blue  61      M. Takers     51

The Quiet Storm completed the Season sweep against the Good Fellas as the Saint double bubble overcame a 27 point lead on Monday night. There were a whopping 19 special teams points scored in this game. The Fellas were led by McNabb and Thomas. The Storm had another disappointing game out of Eddie George.

The Pre-Game Hype:

The Quiet Storm will try to sweep the Good Fellas and stay within striking distance of the Elite. The Fellas will probably need to win out to stay alive.

The Predictions/History:

Norm:    Good Fellas   47      Quiet Storm   44
Spock:   Quiet Storm   44      Good Fellas   41

Week 6:   Quiet Storm   77      Good Fellas   47

The Jelly Beans avenged their week 6 loss to the Sharks and split the season series between neighbors. The Beans are red hot, winning 8 games in a row (sort of reminds me of the 92 Dream Team that went 0-6 and then 9-1-1 to finish in 2nd place). The Beans were led Holmes, Frerotte and a resurgent Randy Moss. Moss is finally coming through and crunch time like now is the best time for it too happen. The Sharks relatively low point total means they probably have to win one more than the rest of the Elite teams to pass them.

The Pre-Game Hype:

The Jelly Beans bring the hottest SWFLL team to the field when they face the neighboring Sharks. The Sharks would like nothing better than to end their losing streak and the Beans winning streak all in one stroke .

The Predictions/History:

Norm:    Sharks        47      Jelly Beans   44
Spock:   Jelly Beans   50      Sharks        43

 Week 6:   Sharks        40      Jelly Beans   34

The Hammer Heads completed the season sweep of the Black Revenge as Holt could not overcome a 9 point lead on Monday night. The Heads only got points out of Bouman and Hollis. The Revenge finally got the defense to play and then the offense takes off. The Heads are still alive for a Elite spot. The Revenge points lead gives them a slight chance.

The Pre-Game Hype:

The Hammer Heads and Black Revenge meet in a battle of 5-8 teams. They both need huge runs to get backing the elite. The Revenge lost in week 6 giving up 82 and their defense hasn't looked any better lately.

The Predictions/History:

Norm:    Hammer Heads  47      Black Revenge 45
Spock:   Hammer Heads  51      Black Revenge 50

Week 6:   Hammer Heads  82      Black Revenge 64

The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Dream Team and the Bull Dogs. A battle between first and worst, a David and Goliath battle that on paper looked like a laugher. That is why we play the game. The Bull Dogs, Bruce, Williams and a 6 point held off the Dream Team for most of the night. In fact after Marshall Faulk scored, the Dogs were winning by tie breaks for most of the 2nd half. Finally Warner went over 300 and th en it was all about keeping Bruce and Williams off the board. The Dream Team's magic number is 2 against both the M. Takers and the Jelly Beans. The Dream Team has clinched at least 3rd place.

The Pre-Game Hype:

The Dream Team look to complete the season sweep of the Bull Dogs. The Dream Team has a championship on the line. The Dogs are playing for pride and consolation prized at this point.

The Predictions/History:

Norm:    Dream Team    63      Bull Dogs     52
Spock:   Dream Team    53      Bull Dogs     41

Week 6:   Dream Team    35      Bull Dogs     30
