The M. Takers completed the season sweep of the Hammer Heads as Freeman could not overcome a 61 point lead on Monday night. The Takers were led by Faulk. The Heads were disappointed by VIKING double bubble. The Takers are still very much alive for the championship. The Heads still have an outside shot at a Elite spot, but they need Culppepper to get better (in both meanings of the word - healthy and productive).

The Pre-Game Hype:

The M. Takers are in the thick of things now and will try to remain in the mix by completing the season sweep of the Hammer Heads. The Heads need the "W" to keep their elite hopes alive.

The Predictions/History:

  Norm:    Hammer Heads  49      M. Takers     46
  Spock:   M. Takers     51      Hammer Heads  45

 Week 4:   M. Takers     61      Hammer Heads  43

The Jelly Beans revived the "Maggie's" curse and split the season series against the Good Fellas as Ahman Green and a 29 pt. lead were too much for Keenan McCardell. The Beans are red-hot as they have won 6 in a row and have clawed their way into a Elite spot. Moss has woken up, now if they could get Griese going again, they could make a run of historic proportions.

The Pre-Game Hype:

The Good Fellas ended their losing streak last week and would like very much to halt the Jelly Bean winning streak this week and complete the season sweep. The Beans have started slow but have come on lately and want to hold on to the recently acquired elite spot.

Norm:    Good Fellas   47      Jelly Beans   43
Spock:   Jelly Beans   49      Good Fellas   43

Week 4:   Good Fellas   50      Jelly Beans   20

The Dream Team completed the season sweep against the Black Revenge as Schroeder could not overcome a 30 pt. lead. The Dream Team was led by Mason and Warner. The Revenge has scored over 60 in the last 4 weeks and has lost 3 of them including the triple digit loss. They are 1-5 in games where they score over 60. Shades of 1999. Finally, Yes Toast, that is a first place lineup.

The Pre-Game Hype:

The Dream Team and Black Revenge had a thriller in Week 4. The Revenge needs to reverse the outcome to stay alive. The Dream Team wants a sweep over the Revenge to keep their lead intact.

Norm:    Dream Team    52      Black Revenge 46
Spock:   Black Revenge 55      Dream Team    54

Week 4:   Dream Team    64      Black Revenge 62

The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between the Black & Blue Attack and the Sharks. The Sharks and Favre were just barely unable to surpass the Attack and a 44 pt. lead. The Attack completed the sweep and tossed the Sharks right out of the Elite. The Sharks low point total led to the second to fifth drop. The Attack got double digit scoring out of 4 players. The Sharks RBs came up small. The Sharks are not out of it by an y means, but the low point total will handicap them in the final run, which begins next week against the much-despised Dream Team.

The Pre-Game Hype:

The Sharks need to avenge their Week 4 loss to the Black & Blue. The Black & Blue likes third place, but would much be much happier in second.

  Norm:    Black & Blue  47      Sharks        45
  Spock:   Sharks        55      Black & Blue  51

 Week 4:   Black & Blue  47      Sharks        30

The Quiet Storm completed the sweep of the Bulldogs with Jimmy Smith on Monday to spare. The Storm ended a 4 game losing streak and just in time too as another loss could have been the end. The Storm was led by Brooks and Kevin Johnson (the K Johnson who actually scores TDs). The Bulldogs had a bad week as only their PK and Ricky Williams managed to put up points.

The Pre-Game Hype:

The Quiet Storm will try to complete the season sweep of the Bull Dogs and end their growing losing streak. The Bull Dogs are in desperate need of a revenge "W" as they have not won since I dubbed them the hottest team in the league.

Norm:    Bull Dogs     46      Quiet Storm   45
