The "Game of the Week" honors go to contest between the Dream Team and the Jelly Beans. The Dream team had an 18 pt. lead and Rod Smith vs. Griese which is amazing because by 1:30 on Sunday the Beans had jumped out to a 41 point lead via the legs of Ahman Green. Green calmed down and really did not get a lot of help. Smith bumped heads enough with Griese to give the Dream Team the "W".

The defending Champion Black Revenge defeated the Black Blue and still had Terell Davis to come on Monday in the first semi-annual Black Bowl. The Revenge was led by Gannon and Janikowski in a battle of Raider fans. Which is worse, losing in week 1 or losing because your favorite team did well. The combo is horrible.
