The Jelly Beans and a 22 point lead were just barely too much for the Sharks, Ahman and Longwell. In fact if Freeman is ruled down or touched down on the last play, chances are Longwell kicks a FG and the Sharks win. It was that close. The Beans win for the first time since week 2 and have taken the long slide form the top of the standings to the bottom. Can they make a similar climb back up the standings. The longest journey starts with the first step and the Beans made that step this week. The Pre-Game Hype:The Sharks will try to avenge their Week 1 loss to their neighbor the Jelly Beans. The Beans have fallen on some hard times and are need to recapture the Week 1 form before it is too late. The Predictions/History: Spock: Sharks 58 Jelly Beans 45 Week 1: Jelly Beans 67 Sharks 55 Spock's Predictions based on Points For, Points Against and Winning % |

In what was the "GOW" until the wee-early hours on Tuesday morning, the Hammer Heads and Quiet Storm traded the led back and forth on Monday. The Storm took the early lead, Anderson gave the Heads the lead back, Culpepper gave the Storm the lead and then Robert Smith salted away the victory gaining 3 pts on the TD pass and also another 6 in bonus points. With both teams putting up 60 points, it was a shame someone had to get the 'L'. The Pre-Game Hype:The Quiet Storm will try to repeat their week 1 victory against the Hammer Heads. The Storm (with their point total) is looking for one more stumble in Death Valley. The Heads also have positioned themselves for a chance to jump over the Elite line. The Predictions/History: Spock: Quiet Storm 64 Hammer Heads 53 Week 1: Quiet Storm 98 Hammer Heads 32 Spock's Predictions based on Points For, Points Against and Winning % |

The "Game of the Week" honors go to the match between Black Revenge and the Bull Dogs. This week there were ample choices for "GOW". The last play of the game on Monday night made the selection a no-brainer. The Bulldogs went into OT on Monday up by 23 and fairly sure they had climbed into a first-place tie (2nd in points). The Revenge was looking at their 2nd loss in a row and possibly a drop to 2nd if the Storm pulled out the 'W' . One amazing 9 point double-bubble from Favre to Freeman cut the lead to 5. The yardage pushed Freeman over a 100 and gave the Revenge a 1 point win and a 1 game lead on the 2nd place pack. The Revenge has been making some interesting choices at QB the last couple of weeks but it is extremely hard to argue with success. The Pre-Game Hype:The Black Revenge and Bull Dogs square off in a battle of Elite Teams. The Revenge took the week 1 game and that is the difference in the Standings. The Bulldogs are in a bit of a mini-slump and will need to rall y the troops this week to jump up into a virtual tie for fist place. The Predictions/History: Spock: Black Revenge 56 Bull Dogs 55 Week 1: Black Revenge 66 Bull Dogs 43 Spock's Predictions based on Points For, Points Against and Winning % |

The Mac Attack swept the defending Champion Dream Team. The Attack was led by an unreal MVP performance by Elvis. The "King" of KC put up an MVP 38 points including 18 bonus points for a 500 yard passing game. The Dream Team and Moss could not overcome a 44 point lead. The Attack has won 3 in a row and is slowly climbing the standings. The Pre-Game Hype:The Mac Attack's mini winning streak has given them a better hold on that last Elite spot, but their Week 10 opponent the Defending Champion Dream Team has been know for late season surges and they are still knocking on the door, even if there is now a line for that last spot. The Predictions/History: Spock: Mac Attack 51 Dream Team 47 Week 1: Mac Attack 43 Dream Team 27 Spock's Predictions based on Points For, Points Against and Winning % |

The Black & Blue Attack swept the season series against the M. Takers as Cris Carter could not overcome a 35 point lead. The Black & Blue was led by Gannon, Davis and Hakim. The Takers got a disappointing performance out of Garcia. The late injury call on Janikowski did not help either. By the way, Emmitt and Carter outscored Bruce for about the 4th time in a row. The Pre-Game Hype:The last game pit former partners against each other as the "dare I say" resurgent M. Takers try to avenge their Week 1 loss to the Black & Blue Attack. Both teams had problems putting up points early, but are st arting to find their grooves now. The difference is the Black & Blue was pulling out early "W's" and the Takers were not. The Predictions/History: Spock: Black & Blue 47 M. Takers 44 Week 1: Black & Blue 18 M. Takers 6 Spock's Predictions based on Points For, Points Against and Winning % |
