SPOCK'S LOCKS FORMAT - Favorite w/Spread on top - Underdog w/Under-Over in parenthesis

Well Lineups went fairly smoothly this week despite the re-location of the Commissioner's office. Things should be back to normal this week. This week when you are considering your lineup, please remember that the "COWBOYS, DOLPHINS & SAINTS" are off this week.

In other league news, I am making progress with the web site development. I have programs that can pretty much reproduce the standings box above and detailed results. I am working on importing all my great literary efforts, which appear on this page. I will have one version that I hope you will be able to print and it will just like getting the notes in the mail. I also hope to be providing a version which is more web like and probably easier to read (the font size will be a little larger). I'll keep you posted. BTW, is there anybody out there that would like to be added to the e-mail list. All you need is an e-mail account that can accept attachments and access to Microsoft Word (preferably 97 or better). There is also a Word Viewer which is available free from MicroSoft which will allow you to view and print the notes. I have tried it and it works pretty well.

Key Match-Ups to Watch this Week.

This week the M. Takers will try to drag down the front-running Sharks (who have never been out of the Elite). The Hammer Heads and Black Revenge go head-to-head in the battle of the 8th & 9th (one of these teams will probably be in trouble). The Bull Dogs will try to rip the Elite Spot from the Mac Attack. The Dream Team and Jelly Beans will square-off in the only contest between current Elite Teams. The Defending Champs Black & Blue Attack will try to avoid giving the Quiet Storm their first "W".

Norm vs. Spock makes its return this week. Spock won last year's competition, so his lines appear above. Norm's lines are below:

MT  -1  S (94)    DT  -7 JB (107)
HH  -3 BR (65)    QS  -3 BB (91)
MA  -2 BD (78)

Most of the games were decided by Sunday. The Sharks grabbed their first helmet and 2nd "W" of the year and jumped into the top spot against the Black Revenge. The Sharks managed 74 pts. despite a 0 from their QB. This is highly unusual, but they were helped by possibly the "Free-Agent of the Year" James Stewart. The Revenge scored the 2nd highest point total for the week but still is searching for a "W" this year.

The contest between the Dream Team and Black & Blue (if you could call it a contest) was also over by Sunday night. The Dream Team led by Batch put up over 50 pts. for the 2nd week and the Black & Blue did not break double digits on Sunday. This game was pretty much over at 4:00.

The Mac Attack edged the M. Takers by 2 pts. with Irvin in the back pocket. Cunningham and a solid running game led the Mac Attack. The Takers left a lot of points on the bench. The Attack scored 70 last week and lost. This week they don't break 50 and win, go figure!

In one contest with "Monday Night Madness", the Quiet Storm and Cunningham held a slim 11 pt. lead over the Hammer Heads, Jamal Anderson, Emmitt Smith and Terrance Matthis. This game featured a total of 16 pts. on Sunday granted, the Storm still had a kicker and the Heads still had their whole running game left. If you are the Black Revenge (or Mac Attack last week), you have to be a little miffed at the schedule makers, when you are scoring over 50 and losing and one team could win with less than 20. Oh yeah, the Heads came back and won by one point.

The "Game of the Week" honors go to the contest between Bull Dogs and the Jelly Beans. The Beans & Morten Andersen held a 10 pt. lead over the Bull Dogs, the "Rocket" and the BOYS. The Beans managed to keep the lead and enjoyed their 2nd time in the "GOW" much better than their first.
