The Bull Dogs finished their climb up the standings with a win against the Black Revenge as Bradord failed to give the Revenge the "W". The Bull Dogs won despite failing to call in normal starters Muhammed and Bettis. I don't know, if I am in the heat of the battle for a Title, I don't think I would make a mistake like that, but "Kids will be Kids". The Revenge Defense has given up over 70 pts. 6 times this year, I have my doubts about that happening this week. The Mac Attack "virtually" locked up an Elite spot against the Jelly Beans with their 4th helmet of the year (2nd in 3 weeks). The Jelly Beans and the PACKERS could not overcome a 60 pt. lead against the Mac Attack and Scroeder. The Attack has a serious shot at 1000 pts. but a loss or a Bull Dog or Dream Team win will knock them out of the Title contention. The Hammer Heads completed the season sweep against the Dream Team on the strength of an MVP performance by Beuerlein. The Heads are still alive, barely. The Dream Team fell out of 1st place for the first time since week 3. They still control their destiny to the Title. The "Game of the Week" goes to the contest between the Sharks and Black & Blue Attack. The Attack carried a 1 pt. lead into Monday night against the Sharks and Favre. Amazingly, Favre failed to score any points and the Black & Blue Attack won their 4th in a row. They have made the long climb from last to the doorstop of the Elite. Unfortunately, they may have started their climb just a touch late. The Pre-Game Hype:The Black & Blue will try to repeat their earlier performance against the Sharks. After a dreadful start the Attack has won 3 in a row and are making a late season run, but is it a case of too little to late for the defending Champs . The Sharks can't seem to get back over that Elite line after spending most of their history there. With a 2 game winning streak they find themselves on the doorstep of their accustomed position above the Elite line.
