The M. Takers, George, Smith and Reed were unable to overcome a 22 pt. lead to the Quiet Storm and Moss. The Storm won their 1st game in 5 as an Elite Team. The Takers need to win out and help.

The Pre-Game Hype:

The M. Takers will try to repeat their week 6 win over the Quiet Storm and end their 1 week visit out of the Elite. The Storm finds itself once again above the Elite line. They are 0-4 when in the Elite, a trend they need to correct now .

The Predictions/History:

  Norm:    M. Takers    47      Quiet Storm  44
  Spock:   Quiet Storm  47      M. Takers    45

  Week 6:  M. Takers    32      Quiet Storm  25

The Bull Dogs finished their climb up the standings with a win against the Black Revenge as Bradord failed to give the Revenge the "W". The Bull Dogs won despite failing to call in normal starters Muhammed and Bettis. I don't know, if I am in the heat of the battle for a Title, I don't think I would make a mistake like that, but "Kids will be Kids".

The Pre-Game Hype:

The Bulldogs will take on the Black Revenge in the "Lady Luck" bowl. The Dogs have faced a league low 461 pts. this year. The Revenge have faced a league high 802 pts. The Revenge Defense has given up over 70 pts. 6 times this year, I have my doubts about that happening this week.

The Predictions/History:

Norm:    Black Revenge  49      Bull Dogs      48
Spock:   Bull Dogs      49      Black Revenge  36

Week 6:  Bull Dogs      36      Black Revenge   6

The Mac Attack "virtually" locked up an Elite spot against the Jelly Beans with their 4th helmet of the year (2nd in 3 weeks). The Jelly Beans and the PACKERS could not overcome a 60 pt. lead against the Mac Attack and Scroeder. The Attack has a serious shot at 1000 pts. but a loss or a Bull Dog or Dream Team win will knock them out of the Title contention.

The Pre-Game Hype:

The Mac Attack will try to keep their title hopes alive with a repeat of their earlier win over the Jelly Beans. The Beans have to win to stay alive for a Elite spot and they need a lot of help.

The Predictions/History:

Norm:    Jelly Beans  49      Mac Attack   48
Spock:   Mac Attack   55      Jelly Beans  45

Week 6:  Mac Attack   49      Jelly Beans  40

The Hammer Heads completed the season sweep against the Dream Team on the strength of an MVP performance by Beuerlein. The Heads are still alive, barely. The Dream Team fell out of 1st place for the first time since week 3. They still control their destiny to the Title.

The Pre-Game Hype:

The Dream Team will try to avenge their early loss to the Hammer Heads and hold off the challengers to the Title for another week. The Heads low point total all but makes them 2 games out of the Elite and they also need a streak and some help to stay alive.

The Predictions/History:

Norm:    Dream Team    54      Hammer Heads  47
Spock:   Dream Team    47      Hammer Heads  36

Week 6:  Hammer Heads  43      Dream Team    36

The "Game of the Week" goes to the contest between the Sharks and Black & Blue Attack. The Attack carried a 1 pt. lead into Monday night against the Sharks and Favre. Amazingly, Favre failed to score any points and the Black & Blue Attack won their 4th in a row. They have made the long climb from last to the doorstop of the Elite. Unfortunately, they may have started their climb just a touch late.

The Pre-Game Hype:

The Black & Blue will try to repeat their earlier performance against the Sharks. After a dreadful start the Attack has won 3 in a row and are making a late season run, but is it a case of too little to late for the defending Champs . The Sharks can't seem to get back over that Elite line after spending most of their history there. With a 2 game winning streak they find themselves on the doorstep of their accustomed position above the Elite line.

The Predictions/History:

  Norm:    Black & Blue  46      Sharks        43
  Spock:   Black & Blue  49      Sharks        48

  Week 6:  Black & Blue  81      Sharks        22
